Another intersting trekking destination, good for Cave Exploration too.  This place is located 70 Kms from bangalore. One has to take Old Madras Road to Kolar and ask for villagers for further direction.

I had a chance to Trek Skandagiri hills today , thanks to Bangalore Mountaineering Club (BMC).This place is located around 65 Kms from bangalore.  The trek is not very difficult but is exhausting. It takes around 2 hours to reach the peak.

The organization from BMC was excellent. We were group of 42 , some novice  and some seasoned trekkers. It was a good experience altogether and I looking forward to participate in future events organized by BMC.

I had a chance to visit Savanadurga today. This place is about 4599 ft.high and 65 kms from Bangalore.

It place is famous for goddess Durga but our attraction point were the gigantic and mind blowing rocks. Trekking on these rocks was very adventurous though risky at times when negligent.
